Double Page Spread Final

The title on is page is a quote taken from the interview. "The planet is my playground", this is quite an ispirational quote. I feel that this quote is a good representation of the artist because it shows what he's achieved, from going from nothing to ending up hte world renowned artist he is today. This would inspire the audience and would make them want to read the article and buy the magazine. I made the title clear and bold so that it stands out on the page. It is important that the title is eye catching so that the reader doesn't miss this page, and if they are flicking through the magazine they will be drawn in by the large bold title.

I have used a close up image of the artist's face. This is so that the audience can easily recognise the artist if they are flicking through the pages. It stands out on the page which will encourage them to read the article. I have edited the brightness, contrast, colour curves and exposure of the image. I have done this so that the artist looks more refined and well presented. It important that there are no faults with the image because people look up to celebrities and their styles and image. If it looked like my artist had any faults then he could lose some fans and would also look bad on the magazine.

Behind the image of the artist I have used the same colours as I did for the Mast head on the Cover. I did this to create a theme for the magazine. The colours that I used are that of the Galaxy, which relates to the name of the magazine. I have chosen to use these colours behind the image of the artist rather than sticking to the more common rule of 3 colour scheme because it shows the reader that this is the main article in the magazine. That background colour is what makes this article stand out in the magazine more than any other article showing that this is the cover story.

Although I have used a different background colour behind the picture, other than that I have stuck to the rule of three, using the same colour scheme as the rest of the magazine, black, white and grey. I have chosen to use these colours throughout the magazine because of the classy and simple look it gives.

I have chosen to lay my double page spread article out in a question and answer format. I have done this because I feel that the audience I am targeting would prefer to read it in this format rather than blocks of text. I am targeting teens and young adults who would be busy and not that interested in reading long articles or blocks of text. I also feel that doing it in this format using the exact answers given by the artist, rather than my interpretation of his answers gives the reader a better insight into the artist which is what people would want to get when reading an aricle like this. It gives the article a more personal feel.
